Kent Marinkovic

Kent Marinkovic brings more than three decades of watersports industry experience to his role as CEO of Cabrinha. A former member of the U.S. Sailing Team, his background spans competitive sailing and windsurfing, kiteboarding, distribution and brand leadership.

An early pioneer of kiteboarding, Kent began riding in 1995 as the sport was just taking shape. His passion for adventure led him to become the first person to kiteboard from Key West to Cuba and the winner of the only kite race from Florida to the Bahamas.

Having worked alongside Cabrinha since the early days of the sport, Kent became CEO in 2020 and today leads the brand’s global business from Miami, working closely with the product, sales and marketing teams.

Still an avid rider, Kent prefers blasting downwind along the coast and over the flats of Biscayne Bay.  Solo downwinders and adventure kiting is his thing.  His ultimate session is a powered ride through the Out Islands of the Bahamas, with plenty of wind, open water and a long way to go.
