Abby Hyndman

With a background spanning graphic design, fine art, photography and videography, Abby brings a holistic creative perspective to her role at Cabrinha. Her passion for art began at a very early age and led her to pursue formal studies in design, developing a creative career that has found a natural intersection of her passions between visual communication, product and the world of watersports.

As Cabrinha’s Lead Graphic Designer, Abby works across the brand’s global creative output, from product graphics and colour direction to marketing campaigns, apparel, event collateral, fine art elements and visual brand development. She plays a key role in evolving and maintaining Cabrinha’s visual identity, developing brand guidelines and ensuring consistency across product, digital, print and all brand touchpoints.

Her experience across both design and photography gives her a broad understanding of how brands are communicated visually. From the smallest graphic details on products, hangtags and boxes to the bigger picture of a global brand identity and what Cabrinha looks and feels like. This big picture thinking allows her to bridge product design, marketing and brand tone while maintaining a clear and recognizable visual language.

Abby is an ocean and watersports enthusiast herself, with a love for kiteboarding, surfing and marathon open-water swimming, she is a true island-girl. For this reason, she is particularly passionate about the opportunity to combine her creative expertise with a genuine connection to the sport. At Cabrinha, she brings together design, art and a love for the ocean to help shape how the brand looks, feels and is experienced around the world.
