As part of our ongoing product evaluation, we identified that certain 2025 grey loops may not perform exactly as intended under a very specific and uncommon combination of
circumstances. While reports have been extremely limited, we developed an updated V3 grey loop that incorporates further design refinements to ensure consistent and reliable performance. This replacement program ensures riders are equipped with the latest version.
Please follow the links on this page to determine if your loop is affected. If your system is equipped with a 2025 grey loop that does not indicate V3, simply complete the replacement request form. Our team will guide you through the process and arrange shipment of your replacement loop.
All Cabrinha COS products are designed and tested to meet applicable ISO safety and performance standards. However, based on our findings, we request that customers with either original black loops or affected 2025 grey loops discontinue use of that loop and participate in the replacement program. The updated V3 grey loop has been extensively tested and performs as intended.
We strongly request that all customers with either original black loops, or affected 2025
grey loops participate in this replacement program. This ensures your COS system is equipped with the latest design and continues to perform to Cabrinha’s intended standards.
The updated loop can be identified by:
- An engraved “V3” marking below the serial number on the loop
- Updated packaging identifying the V3 version
- A refined release-side geometry

Replacement is quick and tool-less. Instructions will be included with your new loop, and an installation video is available on this page. Most customers can complete the replacement in less than a minute.
Once you receive your replacement, please remove the existing grey loop from service. You may return it using the provided instructions, return it through your authorized Cabrinha dealer, or follow the disposal guidance provided with your replacement.
