How did you get into kiteboarding?
I came into the magic of kiteboarding a bit later in life, but before that I had already built my dream: living by the ocean and creating apartments for kiters.
I moved to Cabarete in 2014, where I discovered the real essence of kitesurfing and I completely fell in love with it.
And with a Dominican guy who inspired me to become a professional kiter.
I started as his caddy, traveling around the world, carrying boards and pumping kites, until my own passion and skills grew stronger. Today, I mostly compete in national competitions, and what I love the most is inspiring other women especially those who think they’re “too old” to start to push their limits, follow the wind, and dream big.
What is your favorite trick?
My favorite trick is the back roll kite loop.
I love that exact moment when the kite pulls me with full power …it’s a mix of control and chaos that makes me feel incredibly strong.
It’s a technical trick that requires timing, awareness, and full commitment.
You need to trust your kite, trust your body, and go all in.
What is #LiveFreeRideFree for you?
#LiveFreeRideFree is everything I chose for my life.
It means living by the ocean; riding with intention, fully present and fully alive; and trusting that every pull, every loop, every fall teaches you something.
For me, it’s the courage to change my life at 33, move to Cabarete, build something from zero, and dedicate myself to kiteboarding even if I started later than others.
It’s the reminder that freedom is not a place, it’s a decision.
And riding free is how I reconnect with the strongest version of myself.
Life Motto
Start late, start scared, start anyway.
