Kai Rumbos

Hailing from Aruba, Kai Rumbos is one of the exciting young talents coming through the Cabrinha ranks. Growing up surrounded by warm water and consistent trade winds, Kai has developed a natural style on the water and a passion for pushing his riding every chance he gets.

A standout at the Pro Junior Kite Academy, Kai was named Rookie of the Year in 2025, a milestone that marked a turning point in his kitesurfing journey and fuelled his determination to keep progressing.

While kitesurfing is undoubtedly his biggest passion, Kai is at home in just about any water discipline. Always keen to learn something new, he’s already taken on kitefoil and is now making great progress in wingfoiling, with parawing next on his list. That willingness to try, learn and keep expanding his skills is a big part of what makes him such an exciting young rider to watch.

Still at the beginning of his journey, Kai has plenty ahead of him, and we’re stoked to have him flying the Cabrinha flag along the way.
