How did you get into kiteboarding?

I grew up with my father, who worked as the caretaker of a beachfront villa on Kite Beach in Cabarete. Before that, we had lived for years in a small town near the capital, far from the sea. When we moved to Cabarete, everything changed.

I remember watching kids my age flying across the water with their kites, completely free in the wind. I was fascinated. In that moment, I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

What is your favorite trick?

I started competing at a world level in the Twintip Freestyle category, and those tricks remain my all-time favorites. Especially the Backmobe, which I now land with full confidence even on my hydrofoil board.

Unhooking from the kite has always been part of my style , a mix of wild and extreme, the way I love to ride. It’s my signature on the water.

#LiveFreeRideFree means giving everything to the wind , living without limits, riding without fear, and choosing a life where freedom matters more than comfort.

Life motto?

When you survive 24 hours lost in the ocean, you stop taking life for granted.

Every breath becomes a gift, every wave a reminder.

So my motto is simple:

Live to the fullest, every single second because tomorrow is never promised.
