Alberto Rondina

Alberto “Alby” Rondina has been part of the Cabrinha family for much of his professional career and is one of the most recognizable figures in Italian kiteboarding.

Growing up in Riccione, Italy, Alby was introduced to watersports at an early age, progressing from bodyboarding and windsurfing to kiteboarding in 2002. His competitive career quickly took him onto the international stage, where his technical freestyle riding earned him four Italian Championship titles, the European Championship in 2010 and an impressive 3rd overall on the PKRA World Tour in 2012.

While competition helped establish his name, Alby’s passion for the sport has always extended far beyond results. Today, he continues to ride, test equipment and share his experience across kiteboarding, foiling and winging, bringing decades of knowledge and an unmistakable enthusiasm for being on the water.

Based at Lo Stagnone in Sicily, Alby is also the founder of ProKite Alby Rondina, turning his years of traveling the world as a professional rider into a place where riders of every level can experience the sport for themselves.

Whether he’s riding, testing new equipment or helping the next generation progress, Alby brings the same energy that has defined his career from the beginning: a genuine love of the water and a determination to keep having fun on it.
